The Second Annual Jenny's Dream Celebrity Golf Classic took place on June 13, and despite the rainfall, was a great success. There are so many people to thank! Let's begin with the "Dream Team." We rely on our purple-shirted buddies to pull it all together, and they do an outstanding job. Their smiling faces, hospitality and incredible energy make our events fun and enjoyable for everyone. Then, of course, we enjoyed seeing such celebrities as Anthony Munoz, Louis Breeden, David Fulcher, Isaac Curtis, Jim Breech, Kevin Walker and this year's special guest, Gary Burbank. Nearly all of our celebrities had two functions to attend to on this date, but made time to spend with us, and we truly appreciate their doing so. During the dinner/awards ceremony we talked about Gary Burbank and his outstanding support of charities during the years. Gary, like all of our celebrities, have become good friends. You'll see them often, giving their time to a variety of charities during the year. They are outstanding people, who give back to their community and we sincerely appreciate their efforts. The players who came out deserve, perhaps, our greatest thanks. Some of you attend all of our events, while others found this to be their first experience. I can tell you from the comments we heard at the event, it won't be your last. It's amazing to us that even though Mother Nature failed to cooperate, we heard time after time how much you enjoyed the day and will be making it an annual priority. You know you're doing something right when you get this kind of response. Heatherwoode staff deserves our thanks, as well. So much so, we have decided to return to Heatherwoode in 2009. They often commented to us in the weeks leading up to the event how important the Jenny's Dream Celebrity Golf Classic was to them, and they truly did everything they could to make the day "flow" nicely. We know it will be even better in 2009. The day ended with a moving ceremony that included our introduction of Kaitlyn Gaylish, the 2008 Jennifer Leigh Kynkor Scholarship Award winner at Miami University. We are very proud of Kaitlyn, who ironically also happens to be one of our Dream Team volunteers. The Foundation's efforts, whether it be education, autism or any one of a number of other charitable organizations we support during the year, are made possible by each and every person who involves themselves or their companies in the Jennifer Leigh Kynkor Foundation.
