"Where are They Now?"

Another way for us to honor their achievements and learn more about the important work they are doing to help children and families with developmental disabilities.

One of the many things we enjoy about the Jennifer Leigh Kynkor Scholarship are the relationships we develop each year.  Fortunately, those relationships endure and we keep in close contact with many of our past recipients during the year and invite past winners to join us each spring when we welcome our "new" winners.  "Where are They Now?" is another way for us to honor their achievements and learn more about the important work they are doing to help children and families with developmental disabilities.

Leah Tielke (Kovach)

Today, Leah is working as a Speech Language Pathologist at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, spending her valuable time working with children in an outpatient setting.  She manages her own caseload of kids between the ages of 3 and 17.  She sees a variety of patients including those with speech sound disorders, Autism (ASD), language impairments and social pragmatic communication disorders.  Her job focus will change in the future, as she will be begin to focus on "feeding" for newborns through age 3.  Changing lives through access, communication and professional therapies is driving Leah to continue her already stellar work.  We are proud to focus Leah's work and salute her efforts on behalf of children and families!  Thank you, Leah!!
